Update Broke Install

I ran the update script
bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://github.com/leiweibau/Pi.Alert/raw/main/install/pialert_update.sh)"
After, there is no subdirs under /home/user/pialert except for config and db.
back, and any others are gone.
Do I simply reinstall?

I'm sorry about that

1. rename the still existing "pialert" directory e.g. to "pialert-old"
2. reinstall Pi.Alert
3. copy the database from "pialert-old/db" to "pialert/db/" and overwrite the existing database there
4. copy "pialert.conf" from "pialert-old/config" to "pialert/config"
5. execute the command "./pialert-cli set_permissions" in the "pialert/back" directory
6. now everything should work again

Second, that worked perfectly. I'd vote adding that to the docs under "How to reinstall for the Compleat Idiot" because it worked flawlessly.

Also, how do you suggest we update the RPi?
I use this:
bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://github.com/leiweibau/Pi.Alert/raw/main/install/pialert_update.sh)"

But I also do
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

Should I not be doing that?
