6.1 is a great release, great job! To make it even better, I had a few ideas.
Please consider adding Airspy's spyserver, or at least a directory with a script to get the image with wget and expand / install it. A bonus would be adding a script that will set a system service launching spy server on boot, on login, or on demand. That's what I had to add to my system.
Regarding SDR++: the version in 6.1 image is 1.04, but in version 1.05 supposedly we get support for SDR++ server, as alternative to spy server. I hope this is on your TODO list.
Another question: VNC is not he best choice, RDP would be faster if encryption is not important. Maybe you could add xrdp to the Pi image?
Another idea is to enable avahi service by default, so we don't need to look for the IP address of the Raspi.
I'd love to help with new features and releases - do you have a process for onboarding volunteers for this project?
