How to fix Jamku's "network error"?
Recently, (since 23rd April 2022) I get network error on few of my old PCs.

Background

This "network error" is because of browser not able to validate the "https" (aka SSL/TLS) certificate.
On 23rd April 2022, we shifted to using lets encrypt based SSL certificate. It's root certificate "ISRG Root X1" was added to trusted certificates in operating system (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android) since 2015. If you are using operating system which was not updated since 2015, you will receive this error.

"Let's Encrypt" is Certificate Authority providing TLS certificates to 260 million websites

Visit - https://valid-isrgrootx1.letsencrypt.org/ to check if this is the root cause of the issue.
If this URL does not work, then check below for the solutions. (It means your OS does not trust the root certificate)
If this URL works, don't read further, call Jamku Support team for help.

Solution 1 - Update Operating system

Your Operating system has not been updated since 2015 !!!
It's time to update it now. This will auto add the new SSL/TLS root certificates. Not just for Let's Encrypt but also for other new ones.

Solution 2 - Import Missing Certificate

If you cannot update your device, importing the certificate manually will fix the error.

1. Download certificate - ISRG Root X1.zip and unzip. You will find .cer file named ISRG Root X1.cer
2. Open Certificate Manager - Run certmgr.msc in command run (Win+R)
3. Under "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" > "Certificates", right click
   

Solution 3 - Use Firefox

If you don't want to add the certificate, then this is the only solution.
Chromium based browsers like Edge, Chrome, Opera, Brave use Certificates from OS. While Firefox uses its own Certificate Store.
Hence, you will not have SSL error on Firefox due to this reason.

If https://valid-isrgrootx1.letsencrypt.org works fine and still jamku.app is now working, here are some of the things you can try to identify the root cause and fix the issue.

We have 2 servers always running

• api.jamku.app (used by jamku.app)
• api22.jamku.app (used by v3.jamku.app)

1. Check if API Server is working

Open Private Tab / Incognito Tab and visit any one of the above links. You should be seeing below response

If the API server is not running, contact us via Call/WhatsApp
If the server is responding on Private Tab but not in normal tab, then some Browser extension is blocking the domain.
