  • move DkgSessionInfo into context; make periodics requrie context only
  • remove duplicate Cmd handling
  • remove duplicate NodeMsg handling
  • make DKgVoter cloneable
  • perform relocation finalisation asap after update
  • clarify naming

New Features

  • move DkgAe off thread

Bug Fixes

  • process both blocking and non-blocking cmds

  • move periodic checks into their own loop

  • check when handling msg if is from member
The previous check for "is from me" was failing due to
a local 0.0.0.0 representation in testnets vs 127 from other nodes...

    This was leading to looping.

But only checking if it was forwarded from ourselves would mean if
an elder was a storage node, we'dsee and forward on the same message
several times (as each elder sends it on to us, and its not from us, so
we forward to the adults in question etc).

    This check solves both situations

  • push replication send msgs onto flowctrl channel

  • node to update its own members list upon being relocated

Refactor

  • remove unused wiremsg-debuginfo ft

Safe Node Comms Changelog

v0.6.2 (2023-03-16)

Chore

  • manually bump sn_interface and sn_node
These crates already have published versions at 0.20.6 and 0.78.6, so reverting the commits didn't
    work correctly for these.

Also temporarily disabling the release and merge workflows again because I don't want to trigger a
release before I tag these manually.

Safe Client Changelog

v0.82.2 (2023-03-16)

Chore

  • manually bump sn_interface and sn_node
These crates already have published versions at 0.20.6 and 0.78.6, so reverting the commits didn't
    work correctly for these.

Also temporarily disabling the release and merge workflows again because I don't want to trigger a
release before I tag these manually.

  • rename testnet crate to sn_testnet
Even though the testnet crate name is not taken on crates.io, I think it makes sense to prefix
this crate with sn_, as per our other crates. The name of the binary does not change. This crate
needs to be published because sn_client has a dependency on it.

This also provides a README for the crate, which was necessary to have it published.

  • sn_interface-0.20.5/sn_client-0.82.2/sn_node-0.78.6/sn_api-0.80.2/sn_cli-0.74.0

New Features

  • reworked version of testnet binary
The testnet binary was reworked to remove its dependency on sn_launch_tool. Since it will now be
used as a replacement for the node run-baby-fleming command, the interface was updated to make it
a bit more usable. Now it does not attempt to build the node by default: the --build-node flag is
used for that. The other arguments that were added should be fairly self explanatory and can be seen
    on the diff.

All the support from the original binary is retained in this rework, including the use of flamegraph
    and joining an existing network.

There is a module in the crate that exposes a couple of structs that can be used for launching a
testnet: TestnetBuilder and Testnet. The functions on Testnet should have almost full code
coverage, but since the builder is a simple utility, I didn't bother putting tedious tests around
it. Since the bulk of the work has been unit tested I also haven't added any integration tests for
testing the code in the main module for the binary, since it's pretty simple and doesn't really
seem worth the additional testing infrastructure.

The merge CI workflow was updated to use the reworked version of the binary. Since we already build
the node in the previous step, we just pass the path to it, rather than attempt to rebuild.

The script for verifying node joins was modified to check for IPs matching "0.0.0.0" in addition to
"127.0.0.1", which was being caused by the use of the --local-addr argument. It also now considers
the total number of nodes to be the genesis node plus the number of non-genesis nodes. In addition,
the script was updated to split long commands over multiple lines, use newer-style Bash syntax and
    consistent indentation size.
