yes. I have found that kitty suffices for the most part for a wayland terminal and this project is mostly stale at this point. |
Not to try to rope you back into the project, but I will point out there's definitely a large hole in the Wayland Terminal world. There are plenty of emulators out there that are somewhat in the territory of developement wterm finds itself in. And you're right that Kitty or Alacritty are very good options, but in both cases, their biggest asset is their greatest drawback for older systems: GPU. I run an old-ish Thinkpad X61. My OpenGL driver support is ancient, and I have no hope of ever using a graphics accelerated term. Xwayland is great and I enjoy it in Sway with st right now, but consider where I actually want to take my system: dwl + hack-on-term + no-xwayland with the GPU limitation. A ridiculous setup, but not uncommon I'm guessing. Food for thought. |
I am using sway on Linux with an intel graphics card. When I use wterm as is my cursor is extremely wide and offset from where I am typing text. It also duplicates the last letter a bit further on. Is this a known problem?
