The readme states "Please note this is sample code only and there is no official deploys". However, this seems to be the code behind 0x83f20f44975d03b1b09e64809b757c47f942beea which was announced by @MakerDAO on Twitter.

Additionally the savings-dai repo is old and archived but it might be worth adding a disclaimer pointing this out as the new repository for what is now known as "Savings DAI".

Good points. I've merged the README update, and someone who has access can perhaps update the savings-dai repo to redirect here.
