Geometry

  • Geometry is the support (shapes) you draw on which you will apply renderings.
  • Each shape is a part of a group (a group of segments).
  • The mouse is used to place points and to make segments.
  • The commands with the keyboard helps you to make the shapes you want.
  • This page describe all the commands that you need for this and how to make the geometry of the shapes.

Commands

n creates a new empty group.

tab lets you navigate through your groups, shift + tab allows you to navigate backwards

g show or hide the grid. Using it with "=" and/or "-"` will allow you to change the siez of the grid.

"." or middle-clic permits to enable or disable snapping. It also permits to set the snapping distance.

When the snapping is activated, the pointer allowing you to see where you are going to draw points will be attracted by existing points and the corners of the squares of the grid. When it is desactivated, you are totally free to point everywhere.
