If you have a playlist AND shuffle/random mode enabled, the generated playlist will only contain as many tracks as the number left in the playlist from the selected track. This is expected behavior if you play your playlist "straight" (without shuffle/random), but with this option enabled you'd expect the shuffled playlist to contain the entire playlist.
Practical example:
Say that you have a playlist with 100 tracks. Scroll down the the 5th track from the end and start play. Enter the XBMC visualization mode and you'll see that the generated list only contains 4 tracks. They are correctly randomized from the entire playlist, but the number of tracks should also equal the number of the entire playlist, not only the tracks left from the selected track.
Workaround:
It's of course fully possible to always select the first track in the playlist to get a full randomized playlist.
Minor problem / Win8 / Frodo Final/SpotiMC 1.0-beta3
Awesome plug-in! Makes the whole XBMC experience complete.
