Building on from this - have you found a way to do this for subscription forms? I use Beehiv for my blog however I am struggling to find a way to have the subscribe form theme switch in line with my dark / light themes. I have made two subscribe forms that match the themes, but how to actually switch between this is beyond me.

You need to learn JavaScript and understand your subscription form structure, then use similar trick by looking at quarto-light and quarto-dark classes in body.
