Need help debugging. Have video feed but no scans.

Using React and dotnet 5 frameworks.
I imported the library with npm install html5-qrcode. Using version 2.3.6

Then i use the scanner as such:

I get a video feed but no output. I have tried several QR codes that work on the example page.. How can we get a more verbose output to what's going on?

I reverted to 2.1.3 from the examples and it seems to work now..
