ok it's been more than 12 months.

time to refresh the UI, particularly the splash screen.

Comps shouldn't be a dropdown but should be scrollable, maybe with pictures?
Subordinate sessions should be easier to choose from the comp master.
The dark blue and curved boxes (ironically exactly what github looks like) need to change
Tidy up the simpleLifter UI, maybe try some different themes?
