The same alert in a short period of time can clog up the sound_q output.

mob slain output in an AoE
out of range output when you're spamming cast

Mute the same alert sound when it occurs something like 3 to 5 times in a second, or fork for each individual alert sound being made somehow and hope that doesn't cause chaos.
