Description of the new feature / enhancement
There already is this "Crop And Lock" module which is very useful for accessing specific information from another application or window, but even the "thumbnail" function behaves like a "mirror" of the original window, which means: for example, if I scroll through the window or close it, the thumbnail changes as well (or just shows nothing when I close the window).
It can be useful, to have kind of an "updating mirror" of the original window.
But, what I personally do need in more cases is something like a "temporary screenshot", which literally does let you capture some region on your screen and shows it in a small, minimal window - but even, if you close the window.
Currently, I just use the normal windows screenshot function for this purpose, but in that case, I always need to take a regular screenshot, than get this "you took a screenshot" notification, where I need to click on, to open the 'blown up' snipping tool dialog, to see my screenshot, but also have all these tools like pens etc. to make annotations. But I don't want them.
My wish is just the following workflow:
Press your keyboard shortcut, take your screenshot as normal, a window pops up, which just contains your screenshot - nothing more, nothing less until you close it.
This would be very useful.
Scenario when this would be used?
In lot's of older applications, if you need to get some information or data from one dialog do another, but because of dialog modality it's not possible to have both windows open at the same time.
