Thank you guys so much its really helped a lot. I've learned a ton over the last couple of days. naming the item entity or block .json file was something so simple yet so complicated for me to initially wrap my head around. I still have one question regarding dropping enchanted items like armor. I used the enchant_randomly function and I was wondering if I could give a weight to the rarity of each enchant. would that just be adding a "weight": line to the code? well I guess I could just trial and error it instead of asking all of you here.

ok i would like to scratch those questions after about an hour and a half of tinkering i figured out how to do a lot of what i was initially asking in the 1st reply.

my only question as of right now is how would i make certain drops like say raw iron coming from a dirt block higher with fortune but not another item in the loot table.

use a block that has fortunable drops as a reference, and only have it apply that that one item in the pool

Hello!

I am trying to make a datapack that modifies the "Raid Omen" effect after drinking an "Ominous Potion". I am trying to reduce the 30 second duration of raid omen (the intermission between the beginning of the effect to the actual raid starting). This value would preferably be changed to 1 second. I have no experience with making datapacks so any help would be appreciated!

You could create and advancement with the effects_changed trigger: https://misode.github.io/advancement/?share=M6YEPds87L

And then the function would: revoke the advancement, clear the raid omen effect from the player, and give the raid omen effect back, but only lasting one second.

About the minecraft sound explorer, there's an annoying situation where I can't see all the sounds when I expand the tab to add sounds to the “playlist” and scroll to the end, because the sounds that start with the letter “b” take up a lot of space. But when I search by name, they appear.

I would like to know if: it will be possible, in the future, to expand the tab and display all the sounds, up to the letter “z”?

Every time I try to give an item a name or lore in the recipe generator, it says it is invalid, and the recipe does not work. putting the name or lore in quotations removes the invalid warning, but it then still does not work.

You can do this fairly easily by setting the final_noise density function in the overworld's noise settings to 0

That version range will likely not be supported on my upgrader tool. It's a lot of work, and I don't have the time for that right now.
