Operation stuck in perpetual running state

When agents are killed, operation gets stuck in a perpetual "running" state since it's not getting any reply from the agents anymore, but when trying to stop the operation just so in reporting it's showed as completed, it won't allow it because it says because the operation "may already be complete." Any work around to manually mark the operation as complete?
