Adding 3rd and 4th MPPT string to modbus yaml?

I understand how to add the code, but what address should i be assigning, or does it not matter. MPPT2 V & C are 5012 and 5013, does that mean MPPT3 would be 5014 and 5015?
and if so, MPPT4 would be 5016 and 5017 which takes over Total DC Power, just move it further up the count? Or do I add extra MPPT's at end of that range (5035 from memory)?
update, so i found the communication protocol document and seems they didn't allow for 3rd and 4th string at that stage. So does that mean I need to wait til the newer document is released to know the address?

also, I've noticed that my dashboard is showing a figure for sensor.load_power as 1 figure (245w for example), yet if i have that sensor in a power flow card it shows a higher figure (500w for example). anyone know why? the lower figure seems tomatch what is shown as load power on the inverters webpage, but wondering why it's a higher figure when in the power flow card.

I have SH25T and I have run into the same issue where mppt3 is not showing up and after modifying yaml code... it is not working either.

Your initial logics was sound. I had the same thought on the subject.
I have tried the next in line numbers and it did not work, I have also tried -1 or +1 where these started clashing on either side... and that has not worked too well either...

Issue I have found is that using modicon convention notation where address is 0 and register is +1... as you described (which is the correct logics and same approach I have tried) the register does not show any signs of life, no voltage, no current, no power...
I then went through Sungrow document and found that the assumed register numbers they labelled as "address" which further more confuses the issue as every single register would have to be changed by 1 and then nothing would work anymore...
so I have currently emailed our local sungrow HQ here in Australia and will chase them for a correct answer..

I do not expect they will have any but its better than nothing... cos either the document is wrong... or part of the document is wrong or there is another document they have not released.... yet?

Sorry, just running Winet as is, not inside SHx yaml. When inputting sensors to a power card i have all SHx sensors but for mppt3 and 4 i use the Winet sensors.

I am new to that, it seems ok... installed and autodiscovered...
is there any particular thing I need to configure there before getting on with winet install?

Using Mosquitto?
You will need to setup a username/passwd in mosquitto.
Will look like:

• username: mosquitto
  password: mosquitto

Edit: That is meant to be a dash in front, must have password and username inline with each other (2 spaces at front of password, HA formatting)

Then add this address into Winet addon:
mqtt://mosquitto:mosquitto@HAipaddress:1883
And will need to know Inverters ip address. Can leave Winet user and passwd empty and it will use preset details. Then start Winet Extractor. Check Winet Extractor logs to see if it connects.

I will say – thank you for being patient – I am not that great with things I do not understand… esp. configs…

It said in Winet docs that it needed mqtt, so I installed it.
Mqtt has installed, logs look clean, but despite the fact I do not use homeassistant in any of my setups as the user name – it has created homeassistant password on its own, so I guess I will need to go to re-configure and change it? Is that the best way?

If so, you also need a mqtt broker to pass on the info from Winet addon to the mqtt intergration. There is an addon called mosquitto that i use and works well.

yes that is the mqtt integration... correct. it has assigned itself that user / password.
So I will go and find mosquitto now... but nothing I need to do here right? leave it alone?

trying to find mosquitto install for HA

well... so I have now created username as you suggested and password... but entered these into mqtt broker integration and submitted and it seems to be listening. ok
while I read about mosquitto install... it all reverts back to mqtt broker...

Yeah pretty much. I found mine in the offical HA addon store, just say Mosquitto broker, but states it install the Eclipse Mosquitto addon. So should be fine.

Probably solved at this point, but I wanted to point out that there is not MPPT4 on the SHxT line. Even the largest model (SH25T) has a total of 3 MPPTs.
