Is there any problem if multiple pods mount the same data path?

The data directory of buildkit is /var/lib/buildkit. In the official deployment method, the data is stored in the pod and will be lost when the pod dies.

If I create a PVC and mount it to Pod's /var/lib/buildkit, will there be any problems if multiple Pods are performing their own tasks to compile the image at the same time?

You can try to do this, but you will hit the lock file - buildkit creates a lock file in /var/lib/buildkit which prevents this scenario.

It's not simply trivial to support this use case, there are databases and data structures that currently require exclusive access 😢 Each running buildkit currently requires it's own /var/lib/buildkit.

so, Will mirroring layer data be shared between Pods? Is the data required by each Pod independently placed in another directory?
