We're excited to announce the latest release, MAX ⚡️ 24.3, available now for Ubuntu Linux systems. The biggest feature of this release is the preview of MAX Engine extensibility. Extensibility allows you to write your own operators in Mojo to replace existing operators in MAX Graphs and ONNX graphs. You can read more about the release in the Modular blog, check out the extensibility examples in the docs, and find a full list of improvements in the chagelog. One change of note is the removal of TensorFlow from the standard MAX release, making the packaging 60% smaller and improving download times.
MAX 24.3 also ships with Mojo 🔥 24.3, which includes a number of community contributions the enhance the standard library APIs and make them more Pythonic 🐍. Learn more about the changes, along with examples, in the Modular blog.
A huge thanks to everyone for joining us on this journey. We're excited for what's coming next, including quantization, MacOS support, and GPU enablement.
