Description
Right now as addition to the mapping and calender visualizations we can include another interactive news feed with current news from across the study groups. There is a large scale implementation of this in our events page here. The new page for the visualizations can have news feed scroll in the right (Modify as required).

Expected result
Regarding the position of the news scroll the attached image of the wire-frame should suffice
There are some cool existing templates to work from. Especially the "ONE LINE TICKER WITH CALLBACKS AND METHODS" from here seems to do the trick. If someone feels it is not the right fit for the page, please do ignore that link.
Also something that can be implemented is that it can have optional minimize screen, that could enhance the user experience greatly.
@auremoser Could you please confer with the specifics. I would like to know if this would be a good idea to implement.

Great, thanks @rahulkrishnan98

It would be great to add some details about whether this would live on the Mozilla Science Website, or could be a page that integrates with our current Study Group Events site.
