#Abstract
Thesis report regarding the importance of women in computer science, disparities caused by discrimination, and the success rate of various strategies commonly used to encourage gender diversity in technology.
#Motivation
This report was writtent to complete the Kalamazoo College independent scholarship graduation requirement. The author assumed the initiative for selecting the area of the project and collaborated closely with their supervisor/adviser to complete the report. The author was required to prepare a formal proposal describing the project to be undertaken. After the completion of the project, the author submitted their written report and gave an oral presentaion/defense of their results.
