Here is a place to keep track of climate models that do not converge. Please add:

  • code snippet with model setup (make sure to show what CK file you are using)
  • starting P-T guess
  • any other info we need to reproduce the run

Teff = 1400 K, grav = 17 m/s/s, M/H = +1.0, C/O = 1.0, Sonora 2020 CK file
starting guess = Bobcat solar composition model with same Teff and grav
nstr_upper = 60

See moist adiabat/dev section of notebook for the following run:

Teff = 200 and 300K, grav = 316 m/s/s, M/H = 0.0, C/O = 1.0, Sonora 2020 CK files.
Starting PT is the sonora bobcat model of the same Teff/grav. nstr_upper = 83.
This has been tested with the main and dev branch as well as my development with the moist adiabat (all cloudfree)
Also tested with extended tmin ~ 15 K and tmax = 10,000K and 20,000 K.
