I don't have a computer. For anything that isn't gaming; all I have is a smartphone - a flagship Samsung Galaxy. I also happen to have a portable monitor. And my phone has Displayport Alt mode - if I connect a USB Type C cable to my phone and to my monitor, my phone gets displayed on my monitor - generally as a vertical bar in the middle of the screen with nothing on the side, and you can't rotate that.
But that's why my phone has Samsung Dex mode - I activate that, and I get the Android desktop experience on my portable monitor, and I can use my phone to control the cursor and click with it, etcetera. It would be my ideal way to read manga - on a big-ass screen bigger than any real comic book page.
My request is the following:
My monitor does not have an accelerometer, so it is always showing whatever is on screen in landscape mode. So by default, when I read manga with Neko, I see only one magnified page I have to scroll through, or two pages side by side one another. But I want to be able to rotate individual pages so I can hold one giant page in my hand, the whole thing visible as a whole on the screen filling out the entire space, like holding a comic book page.
But as of right now; with Neko, I can't do that.
When I'm using my phone normally, if I select the option for Neko to display a page in Portrait or Landscape view, Neko will do that, regardless of my phone's orientation. When I'm using my phone through my portable monitor via Samsung Dex; no matter what I select, Neko never changes the orientation of the page. On Android desktop, I am stuck reading manga through Neko in landscape mode; when I would like to read it in portrait. And maybe this has to do with Samsung Dex just being the desktop mode for Android; or my portable monitor not having an accelerometer. I don't know.
Would it be possible to make it so that I can make Neko change the display mode of a page (or better yet, entire chapters) even when I'm using it via Samsung Dex?
Other details
(Sadly my monitor can't rotate the display output.)
