[Bug]: Unable to rename files on S3 #326
Comments
Same here and this is a real issue for me: My organisation needs fulltextsearch to manage the content and we need S3 to provide an archive for cold data. Is this issue aware to the devs? |
Having this same issue. NextCloud AIO with a Wasabi (S3) share and fulltext search enabled. Some files refuse to sync. Not yet determined a pattern or anything common that about the files that trigger it as some files seem to sync ok. Would be grateful for a quick resolution on this. |
Hi, when you're saying "some files" are you implying it generally works for you? Are you able to rename at least one file anywhere on S3 backed storage? The reason I am asking is - I assumed the issue I am facing applies to 100% of users, in stock AIO setup, completely unusable (unable to rename files). Therefore in my view it is a critical issue and should be fixed asap. Your wording makes me doubt that there is something specific to my setup that might explain why devs are not seem to be in rush to fix it... can you confirm please if you're able to rename files? Thanks. |

Additional info
Yes, I saw #270, but I am not sure this is the same. Not in terms of the symptoms - that issue says "most files sync fine, but some files fail" which sounds slightly less critical than flat out inability to use AIO installation with S3.
