As asked at the 2022 NIAC meeting,

  • base classes always extend NXobject. Can a base class extend another base class?
  • similar question for application definitions, although NXxkappa is already extending NXxbase

No work on this issue at 2022-06 Code Camp. Is it necessary to resolve this for release of NXDL now?

This is an example of people considering that the definitions are object-based with some inheritance. NIAC should advise how to describe.
