Since the open-web-calendar is hosted in may places, it would be nice to give people the choice of which platform to use. There is a start but it is not easy to contribute to this.
Idea:
The Open Web Calendar could post to service online if it is used under a certain hostname.
This hostname can be checked and if valid, it is added to the documentation.
Hostnames like localhost and such are not useful.
service endpoint is configurable
this is opt-in via specification
the server itself reports this, not the client (privacy)
