Can ZIP file v15.1.7 Release be extracted and ran from a folder?

Hi,

As the winget/choco packages are not yet available, I tried downloading the ZIP file, extracted it to a folder, and run the devopsmigrator from there. But still getting the same error.

The prompt still says 15.1.6 (instead of .7) so want to know if this process of running the tool from a folder (with out installing it) is possible or valid.

Is it?

Yup... but if you use devopsmigration it will run the installed version through Winget...

use ./devopsmigration.exe execute in the folder to execute it...

Apologies, but I am new to this... just tried running it from the folder.. it seems I am missing some dependencies, here is the output. However, when I run the installed version, it runs.

Your computer's security is blocking those files.

If you unblock the zip before you unpck it it works... or you can unblock the individual files... its Serilog.Sinks.ApplicationInsights.dll and Serilog.Sinks.Console.dll if I remember....

Thats not the package name for choco! Its choco install vsts-sync-migrator...

The general install command is not installing the latest version... got installed now.
