Building the site works though deployed site has CORS errors

Issue

• I'm deploying a landing page I've used astrowind to design to a shared server on Dreamhost.
• The site builds and I'm able to get the files
• Deployed site though fails to load any of the files including css.

If you do an npm run build of the project and it generates a dist folder and the generated content is ok, then the behavior related to the 404 error is something that you need to configure in DreamHost or some specific configuration of your project. I'm moving this to

The generated content is not okay. The behaviour is also appearing in the dist folder locally.

I found out the issue. I was deploying the site in a sub-folder and the config was assuming there are no.
base: '/'

That's what was leading to the files not being found.
So in future if you want to deploy to a sub-folder remember to update the base path to match the sub-folder structure

For my case.
I had the following structure main_domain.com/projects/client_name

so I had to use the following as my base in the config.yaml /projects/client_name
