cross reference to developers of code

Please can we have a subfolder for each sort of binary and an .md file in each crediting the software developers/organisations and their websites who maintain the source code for each binary. The same blurb should do for each platform. Also the README.md at the top level needs to be clear that we maintain the binaries but that the source code is developed elsewhere and to see each subfolder for details.
