Dear QField team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am a regular user of QField, and I truly appreciate the flexibility and power it offers for field data collection. Recently, I’ve been using the stylus to perform freehand drawing on the map, which works wonderfully. However, I was wondering if there is currently a way to achieve similar freehand drawing capabilities using just my finger, without relying on the stylus.

At the moment, when using my finger, I have to tap the plus icon and then move the map to adjust points. It would be incredibly helpful if there were an option to draw directly on the map with my finger, similar to how the stylus operates.

If such a feature exists or if there are any plans to implement it in future updates, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or information you can provide.

Thank you for your continuous support and for developing such a fantastic tool!

Best regards,

Giannis Kontogeorgos

Hi,

There is this option that you can enable: "Allow finger tap on canvas to add vertices".

The app may not behave the way you describe in your post, but it is interesting to give it a try.
It is a mix between adding vertices with your finger and confirming with the '+' button.
