Overview

The ImplementationGuide contains the FHIR artifacts necessary to achieve an interoperable, standardized data layer for the HIV Case reporting and follow-up repository. This includes the common data models, the FHIR profiles and extensions, as well as operations and mappings, and terminology resources.

Approach:

Iterate the below to achieve prototypes then MVP, parking open issues so that they don't block progress

  1. Define data needs (logical models) for Case Report 1.1. Including constraints like terminologies

  2. Define functional vocabulary artifacts 1.1. ValueSets, CodeSystems, NamingSystem

  3. Define models (logical models) for Case Record (longitudinal record)

  4. Map Case Report to Questionnaire resource

  5. Map Case Record to resource profiles 1.1. including necessary extensions 1.1. including bundling and exchange transaction

  6. Define StructureMap (or other mappings, per SDC 1.1. https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/sdc/extraction.html#structuremap-based-extraction 1.1. https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/sdc/extraction.html#definition-based-extraction

  7. Define dynamic system behaviour and constraints

  8. Identify needs, update model and tech specs as needed 1.1. record deduplication
