Background Color: for an assignment...

Hey!
For an assignment, I was thinking about adding a button that would change the color of the background of the map. I'm a first time contributor so this is a bit overwhelming for me. But I was thinking about making it to different colors for users to see better.
The user would have the option to choose different colors. Depending on the difficulty, I would limit the number of colors.
I was looking at the index.html but my button got covered up in the home page when I added it.
What do you recommend?
