Can you change your Github username via the API?

I did not see anything in the documentation that says you can or cannot do this explicitly and I tried multiple Google searches as well and couldn't find anything about this...

No, you cannot change your GitHub username via the API. This action must be performed through the GitHub website. Here are the steps to change your username manually:
