Hello GitHub Community,
I'm a developer based in China, and I have some concerns about using GitHub Copilot that I hope we can discuss:
Due to network restrictions in China (the Great Firewall), I sometimes need to use a VPN or proxy to access GitHub services, including Copilot. I'm worried this might lead to my account being suspended.
I've seen reports on Chinese forums about users having their accounts suspended without clear explanations from GitHub. This has made me quite anxious, as this is my only GitHub account and it's crucial for my work.
Questions for the community:
I'd greatly appreciate any insights, experiences, or advice from the community. Also, if any GitHub staff members could provide official clarification on this matter, it would be immensely helpful.
Thank you all in advance for your help and understanding.
