No response from GitHub Support #43929

Select Topic AreaGeneral BodyAfter 5 days I've received no response to my GitHub Support Ticket. I would've waited more but looking at this discussion I've realized that my waiting time is very low compared to some others who have waited well over a month. I remember when we could ask for support through email and it was generally very quick, so what has changed? Short staffed or is the ticketing system bugged? |

Hey @dr-nyt, I just want to share my own experience using GitHub Support, it seems like the waiting time for a reply does vary. Sometimes its pretty quick (got a reply within 3-4 days). While at times, I have tickets that remain open and unreplied for a number of weeks. How long the waiting time is depends on a variety of things as you've already pointed out - e.g. the number of tickets they receive, the amount of staffing they have etc. Waiting time can also be prolonged especially for more complex issues that require some investigation (e.g. account related matters etc). Hopefully, by posting this on GitHub Discussions, it can help increase the visibility of the issue you're facing so that a relevant @github-staff or github support enginner can follow up on that. TLDR: I guess the only solution right now is to wait for a few days more and hopefully the relevant GitHub staff can assist you on your issue. |

It's maddening there is no information on the why, just "Your account has been flagged". How is it possible to get work done when being ignored by support for a week. And that is where we are paying for every month. Github used to be my central VCS but that will end very soon. |

Dear GitHub Support Team, I am reaching out regarding an issue with my GitHub account that I believe requires your attention. Upon attempting to access my account from incognito mode or any other page where I am not authenticated with GitHub, I consistently encounter a 404 "page not found" error. Additionally, I have received a message stating that my account has been flagged. This has greatly hindered my ability to effectively collaborate with my team, utilize GitHub Copilot, and engage in the application process for various positions. Given the importance of GitHub in my daily workflow, particularly in light of job applications and team collaboration, I kindly request a thorough investigation into the status of my account. Restoring full access to my account would greatly facilitate my productivity and enable me to continue contributing to projects. Ticket: #2610547 |

Dear GitHub Support Team @github-staff, I am writing to express my urgent need for assistance regarding my GitHub account, which has been flagged without any known reason. This issue is severely impacting my ability to collaborate with my team, as I am unable to make pull requests and contribute effectively to our projects. I created a support ticket (#2901847) two days ago, but unfortunately, I have not received any response yet. I understand that the support team may be dealing with a high volume of requests, but this situation is critical for me. The inability to perform my duties is putting my job at risk, and I am growing increasingly anxious about the potential consequences. As a committed and active GitHub user, I rely heavily on the platform for my work. I assure you that I have always adhered to the community guidelines and policies. If there is any specific reason for the flagging of my account, I would appreciate detailed information and guidance on how to resolve it promptly. Thank you very much for your understanding and prompt assistance. I look forward to your positive response. |

I've been waiting for a response for 1 month. A week ago, I received a message saying "We have not forgotten about you..." but now I feel like I have been forgotten. From now on, I'll be tagging @github-staff in every discussion that has this issue. I guess you need to be Karen to get a problem solved. |
