The easiest way to move data is to export the database and import it on the new server. But I agree that it would be nice to have a feature to import/export bookmarked articles and feed settings directly in Miniflux. |

Why is this not a thing? I have an account at a friends server. I can't do shit, and I have to put all my trust in my friend that he's not screwing something up, making proper and regular backups. And even then, what if he dies? I'll loose all my data. Sure. I could keep a manual copy of all the feeds in a text document, but I shouldn't really have to do that. |

FWIW, this is exactly why I would love the option for an SQLite database. I understand there is a performance hit, but I've used FreshRSS for years with SQLite and tens of thousands of articles and never felt it. On the other hand, backing up or moving to a new server only requires a simple file copy. {I know moving a 'real' SQL database only requires 'a simple set of command line commands' but every time I've tried it I've ended up in the circle of hell that involves Linux permissions, or some arcane 'feature'.) |

It does not seem to be exactly straightforward. Exporting feeds to be reimported would be the easiest but all starred articles would be lost. Could the Python client be used to pull the article data and reset it on the new server once the feeds had been imported?
