Is it possible to execute 'docker-compose run ...' while building a stack in portainer?

Question:
There are a few stacks (as for example ruby on rails + postgresql; https://docs.docker.com/compose/rails/) which require the execution of several steps using 'docker-compose run' commands in each of those steps. Is there a way to do a similar procedure in portainer? It seems the stacks option only allows to link to a single docker-compose.yaml file. Am I understanding it correctly?

Hi @GoncaloBorges, sorry for the late answer.

It is not possible to execute the equivalent of docker-compose run ... inside Portainer. Whilst this is technically possible (as supported by libcompose: https://godoc.org/github.com/docker/libcompose/project#EmptyService.Run) this would require us to think about a way to to make this easy to use inside the app UX/UI wise.

At the moment, you can simply execute the equivalent of docker-compose up and docker-compose down via Portainer for Compose 2 stacks.
