There is nowhere to connect since it's an all in one chip with micro controller plus RF. If the protocol is different then I would need the TX+heli to reverse it. |

The radios are almost identical from the outside, only different stickers. The C186 looks like the "new" Eachine E120 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntoiEowHb_Q |

Perhaps this is just an aside. The same chip is used for a cheaply available ebay r/c stunt car I have been hacking. A google search turned up your thread. I appreciate your info on the device as I have found no other source. https://www.ebay.com/itm/354406168441

I'm just providing a comment on usage of the RF2520A. If you do want to
reverse engineer the operations. The link provides an inexpensive option.

In case it helps, chip is MIXIC RF2520A which under the hood is a Texas Instruments CC2520. The same chip should be in the remote where it is programmed for remote control, and in a drone/car/boat etc. where it controls the motors, combines sensor data, transmits AV etc. In some toys it can also create a wi-fi network and comes with a phone app which can receive video and act as a remote. There's ISCP available, might be worth trying debug mode with it. If not, I've attached CC2520 programming instructions for RF2520B. Datasheet: CC2520 programming: Source(s): |

just checked the tx of the new Eachine E110 "stealth" heli and the chip (rf 2520A) looks very similar to the one in the E129 (chip rf2518) which MULTI supports. Here's a picture
I've got only a cheap 8 channel logic analyzer and don't know much about protocols and nothing about hacking protocols. But I may could record data with Saleae Logic, if someone tells me where to connect the cables and what to do.
