Ensure Avatars working

HI,
I tried your module but I can never recover the avatar of the contacts.

On the XMPP server the avatars exist, and if I try to connect with any client the avatars are displayed.

Why don't they work with ngx-chat? Is the library still incomplete? Or am I doing something wrong in its implementation?

We currently don't test for the avatar functionality. As we load them in production from an external source.

The avatar functionality relies currently for the avatar field to point to a url, which can to lead to errors if the avatar is behind another domain then the ejabberd server.

Until my workload allows me to work on this issues I recommend to create a Pull Request with a test reproducing it, which would make it possible for me to start working on the issue earlier.
