reset to factory default

In Reaper, if I load a Camomile VST3, I'm given the option to "reset to factory default." How do I specify what values are used?

Here's more detail regarding the issue: the default parameter values listed in .txt don't seem to be related to the values used in "reset to factory default" because I can change them and they aren't used when I perform a reset. If I "save preset as default..." and save as "no preset", those values aren't used unless I choose "no preset" from the preset menu. Finally, for auxiliary data saved and loaded using the save and load bang from Camomile, I'm also not sure where such default values are coming from. If Pd controls are set to be initialized and they are included in the param list, then the values saved when the Pd patch was saved are used, but if a control is not included in the param list, it appears to be zeroed.
