I use the Prusa Mini almost daily. The steel plate installation and removal could be made easier if the magnets didn't pull it from a range/distance. I would suggest replacing them with Polymagnets; which are programmed permanent magnets that can be made from any magnet grade.
I believe they will give a better user experience, hold the plate better and be cheaper than the current system as it requires 12 magnets. I think with Polymagnets, you could get away easily with 8.
