Torrent files download .torrent magnet

Dears I want request the possibility of download the file .torrent from one magnet who no downloaded the metadata.

For exp. i press the link magnet, I no hope or no download the metadata, I click accept, but the file .torrent no was created, If I delete the qBittorrent, I no will have the .torrent file. So is important for have one backup or one history of what I trie to download.

I want store the .torrent from one magnet link who no is working or no downloaded the metadata.

Is good for one backup, I like have all the files .torrent I have in my qBittorrent.

No is difficult save all the files. I hope can add this feature and make this with all the torrents I have in this moment, no just the news I add from one update.

it is not possible to save .torrent file without downloading metadata. magnet link is just a pointer to somewhere. if metadata can't be downloaded there is no way to know what content is behind that.

regarding saving all torrents you have right now in qBittorrent, you can find them in qBittorrent data folder:

• Windows C:\User\<your user name>\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\BT_backup
• Linux ~/.local/share/qBittorrent/BT_backup
• macOS ~/Library/Application Support/qBittorrent/BT_backup

just copy .torrent files from that folder (they have names as torrent hash, but they are definitely the same as was added)

Maybe is possible download just the metadata, without the files? That can be good as option as least. Just metadata, and option filter or order the torrents with and without metadata. I don't no if this is possible: Have one file with all the magnet torrent list? Just put one option, where you want save the list of all magnet torrents, all with or without metadata, something like that. One txt or something better, update every time you add one torrent. Is like select all your torrents right click and copy all the magnet to one file manually, for backup. I no undertand how work, but this is one idea: You can make one web address with the magnets? Maybe can make files for that magnets? That is one solution for me. Put all files magnets in one magnet folder. Is one problem when you have 100 torrents or more. I know about the folder backup, not sure if the torrents without metadata are there. I hope you can found one good solution. Thank you

I'm using v4.4.3.1 and this option in settings/downloads:

helps me create a backup of .torrent file. But I have noticed that updated versions of qBit doesn't create files. I don't know about the latest version though, as I don't update it anymore. If you're using latest version than me, then we need to mark this issue.

In recent versions I have noticed that when qbt pick the .torrent from the monitored folder, i recheck it to match my existing files (or download fully?) .torrent file was deleted from monitored folder and not placed to the folder of completed torrents. I was possibly using AppImage. I would have to try this again...
