Remote connection with client?

I really love qBittorrent and I had a long run with it. But many years ago I moved any P2P related tasks to my router/server and I had to continue with Transmission. Transmission has official solution to connect remote servers via client on PC's. But in general Transmission is very conservative and I miss a bunch of features.

So now I building a new server and I must ask: Is there any plans for adding remote connection function into the client? WebGUI is not bad but I prefer using client application.

I was wondering something similar, I guess it depends on how the gui receives it's UI state.
I think there's an unofficial desktop client which uses the WebAPI to control a remote client, but why reinvent the wheel.
The best desktop client for the WebAPI would be the qBittorrent client itself 😋
