rabbitmq.conf, advanced.config are not found under /etc/rabbitmq after RPM installation #10013
-
Describe the bugYesterday I installed RMQ 3.12.10 and Erlang 26.1.2 via documented instructions found here on the Rabbit website. I navigated to the Reproduction steps1.Install RMQ+Erlang using https://live.rabbitmq.com/install-rpm.html documentation for RHEL 8 Expected behavior
Additional contextI noticed this in 3.12.8 as well as the Docker image for 3.12.8 and now 3.12.10. |

@nvidiajunkie from the Configuration guide:
They are not "missing": they were never meant to be included. It's up to the operator (and the deployment tool used) to generate a suitable configuration file. There are examples with comments available from GitHub and linked to from the same doc guide. I would not recommend blindly copying it as the file is too large but you are welcome to copy and edit the relevant parts. |
