This is definitely not a feature, it just deters (non-expert) users from using it ... 👎 👎 👎

limitations should be cleary described and addressed (maximum number of parameters, call-by-reference, void functions only, ...)
what is the "short form", how can it be used?
...

In the long run it might be a good idea to rewrite call from scratch make it more versatile (cf. libffi).
