Feature request - Spoken road numbers #642
Comments
That would be nice, indeed. Assuming that you used default router, I will have to update Valhalla on OSM Scout Server and then let's see if it will be resolved "automatically". For HERE it should be fixed on Pure Maps side - it generates instructions on the basis of HERE data. |

When navigating in the UK, we have numbered roads such as M6, A68, A595, B5302. Navigataion in puremaps works great, but this is a possible improvement to the spoken road numbers.
Current behaviour in puremaps is:
M6: M Six
A68: A Sixty Eight
A595: A Five hundred and ninety five
B5302: B Five thousand three hundred and two
Suggested behaviour:
Remain as is for numbered roads where the number is < 100 (2 digits). When the number of digits is 3 or more, speak each individual number, such as
A595: A Five Nine Five
B5302: B five three "oh" (not zero) two
I believe this is more consistent with how people use/speak road numbers.
