How do I force the sleep mode and turning on again? I am using a battery in my project, so for consumption I dont want the BME680 be reading all the time

The standby current of the BME680 is rated at 0.29 µA, which is pretty low. Typcially, other component on a breakout board like a regulator consume way more than that. As far as I understand it, it will go into standby by itself after a measurement, and the next communication will wake it up again. For a 1 Hz cycle, the average current is given a 3 µA.
