Hi, I'm currently reading this book and saw that in Chapter 33 the slides don't work.

@gracelawley Do you see what's gone wrong?

Ah okay yes, here are the slides as an .md file:

https://github.com/STAT545-UBC/STAT545-UBC-original-website/blob/master/automation01_slides/slides.md

I will see if I can re-render them as .html and will change the link to point to the .md version until then.

@jennybc I'm able to get the slides to render properly in a blogdown site but not in a bookdown. Do you have any ideas for what is going wrong? I'm not super familiar with the nitty gritty details of bookdown vs. blogdown or Makefiles and I can't figure out how to fix things.

The original folder in the previous STAT 545 repo for the slides is here

That folder is now here in the new STAT 545 repo.

What it looks like now:
https://stat545.com/supporting-docs/automation01_slides

What it should look like (from the test I did in blogdown, associated GitHub repo folder):

I'll try to take a look. Thanks for making some progress @gracelawley.
