Cancel the drag operation does not change the position of the event

When I drag an event on the calendar it is dragged to a new place and an editing form opens for me.
When I press the cancel button or the X, the event does not change in the DB, but visually it stays where it was dragged.
How do I make it so that if the action is canceled, the event will return to its original place?

I simply ran over the modal's buttons, blocked the modal's close and cancel options, and manually performed the save and cancel operations.
Anyone have another idea?
