This is a very specific request that most wouldn't need anyway, so I'll understand if it won't be fulfilled due to the settings clutter.

I never clear all my tasks in batches, and always examine every single one before deleting. Every completed task is important to me, since it may require some manual workflow after being downloaded, and serves as a reminder. So having a "Clear all" button right next to the "Add download" button feels very intimidating. I don't know whether on click it will ask for confirmation or not, and I'd prefer not to test that :-) If there is a confirmation prompt, I'd like to know that, and if there isn't one, I'd like to request it instead.

I had a really traumatic experience with the Chrome browser option "Close other tabs" being right next to the "Reopen the last tab" while having no confirmation prompt. Since then I've been wary of everything similar just in case.

It does not have any confirmation dialog at the moment, no; you're right that it probably should.

Alternately, the idea from #48 around having a "controls" section might preclude a confirmation.
