Where can I access the versions of my file?

I'm afraid that I've lost a lot of work, so I'm hoping to access the revisions, not just the revision history.

I was trying to revert to a previous version, and I think I hit Revert, thinking it was related to this git plugin. The app crashed, and when I opened the file again, I lost some work, a few saves ago. Is there anyway of accessing the revisions, or apply the changes recorded by git manually? I've tried looking in the .git directory, couldn't find anything.

What's strange is that I just duplicated my .glyphs file and renamed it — should be exactly the same file. But, it contains some of the new characters that I created, so it contains the more recent work I've done.
